The experience and stability of the Quadriga Capital Russia team is one of the major advantages and a key benefit to our investee companies. The team consists of 11 Investment Officers and one Chief Financial Officer. All members of the team, except for two individuals, are Russian nationals that have gained extensive experience as board members and as day-to-day advisers to the portfolio companies.
While we do not assume day-to-day operational responsibilities within our portfolio companies, we do consider ourselves active investors. We contribute extensively through our experience and network of contacts to the growth of our investee companies. In many cases we apply previous experience gained in comparable industries to a particular situation in a different company. This enables us to grow our companies faster and with less risk compared to other investors. Our sister organisation in Germany and the international network provided by our active investors, enables us to recruit and attract international expertise and best practices to the Russian marketplace.
Due to the longstanding tenure of most of our investment professionals here at QUADRIGA and our cohesive team, we are able to reach decisions fast and effectively, regardless whether in the boardroom of our investee companies or in reviewing prospective investments. This strong collaboration and understanding of each others capabilities has enabled us to operate in a very efficient manner.
